Since we are a western cafe in Kuala Lumpur, we naturally concentrate on our western menu  Both Big Breakfast and pies are among the most popular items in the first two days of our launching.  We have packed morning crowd and thanks for all your support.

The Big Breakfast

Big Breakfast – Consist Of Seven Items All Together

The big breakfast consists of seven items:

• Boxty Irish potato pancake (an Irish recipe – a hybrid of hash brown and mashed potato, pan-fried)
• Mushroom saute in olive oil
• Scramble egg
• Tomato confit (Baked tomato with garlic, olive oil, sugar, etc. until soft and tender)
• Huzeran salad (A Holland potato salad)
• Grilled turkey slice
• Grilled chicken sausage
• One inch thick toast

The Pies – Western Cafe’s Hottest Item

Lamb pie

We now serve piping hot pies as early as 7.15 am.  (Not many western cafe in Kuala Lumpur open so early!). There are four versions of our pies:

• Chunky lamb pie
• Chunky beef pie
• Chicken and mushroom pie
• Vegetable pie

The pies are all served with our homemade brown sauce.  The pie crust is made by shortcrust pastry. We only use 100% unsalted butter to prepare the pie pastry.  The pies are made fresh everyday and deep freeze before putting it into the pre-heated oven to bake. This is to ensure that there is a maximum change of temperature to achieve a soft and delicate texture.

Base on this encouraging outcome, we will definitely develop more western breakfast menu along this concept.  We are also interested to develop fusion cuisine.  One of our best is satay wrap which is in our breakfast menu.  We will mention more about the wrap in the next post.
